Hey NLLTL! It’s been a while since I posted from Europe, I hope this makes up for it a bit. Last weekend I shot a few rolls of 35mm at the Koppenbergcross and GP Zonhoven cyclocross races in Flanders and I thought I’d share some of them. The European Cross season is really getting busy now, despite the weird summery weather in Belgium, so I’ll be there every few weeks soaking up the boozy party atmosphere and taking pictures.
Koppenbergcross uses the same super steep cobbled climb as seen in the Tour of Flanders, but turns off into the adjacent field for a long, fast and slippery descent back towards the line. In Zonhoven, it’s the shin deep sand and sequence of plunges and steep run-ups which make it a favourite with the fans.
